​Campus Sustainability Initiative 

For my Work Study at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, I was selected to be the Social Media Marketing Coordinator for the Green Navigators. The Green Navigators is a sustainability awareness program on campus. Aside from being apart of on-campus events that promote taking eco-friendlier actions, I ran the social media marketing, all social media platforms, scheduled posts, took photos, managed campaigns, created Facebook events, and tied direct marketing to digital marketing. 

Second Year of College - Internships

Spring 2017: New York Life Insurance

For my third internship, I interned at the Massachusetts corporate headquarters of New York Life Insurance. I worked as a Sales, Marketing, and HR Intern. The following are the tasks I conducted during my time at NY Life Insurance.
  • Assisting advisors with their social media, online, and direct mail marketing plans and best practices, respective of regulatory and compliance guidelines 
  • Assisting with recruiting, development, and retention of financial advisors and insurance agents
  • Assisting management in the distribution of internal and home office communications to the advisors
  • Assisting advisors in obtaining all needed requirements to approve insurance and investment business once clients have signed applications
  • Assisting management in the recruiting and on-boarding process of new advisors
  • Assisting management in the creation and distribution of training materials

Fall 2016: Honey Dew Donuts Associates

I was fortunate to have interned at Honey Dew Donuts Associates, the corporate headquarters of the New England coffee and doughnut chain. There, I created and scheduled social media posts, created graphics, took photos, and followed the analytics of each social media platform. I made suggestions for social media campaigns and improvements. In addition, I wrote blog posts, press releases, and pitched a Sustainability initiative and campaign to the company.

Summer 2016: MindMax LLC

From June to August 2016, I worked at MindMax LLC as a summer internship. This marketing agency's clients were colleges and universities. I played a role in the efforts for Boston University, UCLA. UC Berkeley, UC Davis, Syracuse, Excelsior, and New England Institute of Technology. I also helped with MindMax's personal social media.

First Year of College - Marketing Experiences 

Johnson and Wales Drama Club

In the winter of 2015, I ran for the position of "Advertising and Social Media" of the JWU Players Drama Club.  I was fortunate to win the position and have the opportunity to advertise their spring musical, "Once On This Island". 

​To create excitement and a following for the JWU Players, I created a cast/crew spotlight for April 13- up until show time. Daily photos of individual cast members and their interview questions were posted to interest and inform the audience of who made up Once On This Island.


Brand Manager of SDA

As stated on SDA's Facebook page, "The Style and Design Association welcomes anyone who has a passion for fashion, art, culture, beauty, lifestyles, or anyone who just wants to meet some new people and have a great time"

My roles during my time being apart of SDA were to suggest social media ideas, campaigns, and more. I also overlooked social media and created post ideas. 

Chief Marketing Officer - Pangeaa

​From September 2015 - December 2015, I was Chief Marketing Officer for Pangeaa/ Pangeaa Productions (Event Planning Company). Due to rebranding and other company occurrences, I was released. For the brief time, I ran the social media for Pangeaa including the Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram account. I published photos from an event I participated in, "A Night In Punjab" and uniquely captioned every image in the over 100 picture Facebook Gallery. I posted on Instagram and Twitter and helped the page gain over 200 Facebook likes. 

Marketing in High School

SHS Drama Club and Fathom Magazine

I had a great time marketing the drama club and literary magazine for 2 years. Bringing comedy and the sense of community along with the required information to get the word out about the shows, I set a standard for how to market a small theater. From recruiting artists for the book to selling it, marketing was necessary for SHS Fathom.
